Welcome to our corporate tech blog, known as Travelgrove Labs. This blog is serving multiple purposes and we have started it for many reasons.

It’s all about sharing, right? So we would like to participate as well and give something to the Travel  Industry community, especially to the engineers working in the same industry we do.

Being on the field for 8 years+ we have learned lessons you might never image about how things work… things like Google DOs and DON’Ts are just the top of a very very long list!

There are a lot of folks out there and this is how it has been for a long time – Aggregators, Meta Searchers, Online Travel Agencies, Online / Offline Negotiators, Travel Agents, Affiliate Marketers – and the list just goes on, not even mentioning the big sharks of the game like Sabre, Expedia and most recently Google, yet all of them are unique in their particular way.

Now with this given blog we want You to learn about us and how we are unique in our way – facts like our competitors have raised Mo$ (yes, million dollars) founds from investors while we were doing everything on our own, trying to compensate (with more than less success) the financial effort with human power, creativity, steadiness, endurance and enthusiasm.

Sharing our tech knowledge with the world

Our tech team was growing together with the company, yet, I can tell, there are things we didn’t even know about 3-4 years ago and now we work with them on a daily basis. We managed to learn quite a lot about PHP, Perl, Ruby on Rails, Regular Expressions, PL-SQL, MySQL, Adobe DB, JS, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, XML, SOAP, REST, CakePHP, Code Igniter, Smarty Template Engine, WordPress, jQuery, SEO, SEM, SMO, Email Marketing and so on – the list is almost endless…

Also the members of our tech team count among the most educated personnel you can find out there, being pretty good with SEO, having a deep understanding of the concepts of SEM, having an experience with Email Marketing and doing User Interfacing, Design and End-User code optimization as a daily routine.

So,  if you are involved in the travel industry in any way, it’s definitely worth to keep an eye on us too!
